Modern Art for the Ancient Soul

A contemporary anecdotist, Concepción’s work taps into myth and symbol. Her idiosyncratic approach to making art confides in the unseen thread that connects to everything beyond the five senses, allowing for each artwork to at once engage her personal history and invite meditative, individualized interpretation. A nod to the constant, formless transformation of energy, she activates her artwork; dancing with light and dark, shadows and silhouettes. Encapsulating painting, performance, herbology and a hybrid of mediums, her works, often side by side, are developed over months, sometimes years, allowing for an authentic blossoming of the result, each one lending itself to the next. Each piece is a synchronistic representation of Concepción’s own processing of life.
