Stephanie Cantu is a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles whose process spans painting, sculpture, textiles, and video. Through processes of burning, stitching, layering, and weathering, she transforms material into objects that bear the evidence of time, repair, and human experience.
She allows surfaces to accumulate, erode, and evolve over extended periods, making revision an essential part of the work itself.
Cantu is currently completing her BFA at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. She is the recipient of the Emerson Woelffer Continuing Scholarship and has been recognized with Honors and Deans List distinction.
